SPC. Cooper US Military Hero

My hero is my son SPC.Cooper. He is in the United states Army. He is 24 years old and just came back from a year tour in Iraq.

He deployed Nov 15, 2006 and the day he left for Iraq his dad was diagnosed with 4th stage lung cancer and was given 3 to 12 months to live. 5 months later on April 9, 2007 his dad passed away.

Christopher made it back just in time to say goodbye. Christopher borrowed money for the funeral from Red cross that he would pay back so much a month for 2 years. 3 days after the funeral Christopher had to leave, back to Iraq.

He is a very loving and caring person. He is my hero. I thank God everyday that God brought him home safe to me.

Christopher and I are still working on a headstone for his dad's grave one year later, but we are determined. He is so awesome.
